MEASUREMENT GUIDE

A technical diagram of a t-shirt showing measuring paths.

BODY LENGTH: Lay the garment flat, face/front down. Measure from high point shoulder (where the shoulder and neckline seam meet) straight down to the bottom of the back hem.

CHEST WIDTH: Lay the garment flat, face/front down. Measure 1" below the armholes, straight across.

SLEEVE LENGTH: Lay the garment flat, face/front down. Measure from center back neck to outer edge of shoulder seam, then along outer edge to sleeve end.

MEASURING TIPS

Use a flexible measuring tape level with the floor - not too tight, not too loose.

BODY LENGTH: Starting at the center back of your neck, measure straight down to where you want the bottom of the shirt to end.

If the shirt is to be tucked in, measure to the bottom of the butt or top of the crotch. If you have a significant belly, add 2" to either measurement.

If the shirt is to be untucked, subtract 2" from either of the tucked in measurement markers previously mentioned.

CHEST WIDTH: With arms relaxed, measure around the fullest part of your chest. Divide this number by 2 to get the Chest Width.

SLEEVE LENGTH: Place your hand on your hip. Start the tape at the center back of your neck, to your shoulder, then to your elbow, and finally to your wrist. Subtract the last segment (elbow to wrist) to get your short-sleeve length measurement.
